The writing process for "Fill Me" started a little over a year ago. James Stockstill was moved by the passage in 1 Kings 8 in which Solomon dedicated the temple to the Lord. Solomon poured his life into the building of the temple, and when it was completed, he asked the Lord to pour His Spirit into it. In the New Testament, Paul writes that we are now temples of the Holy Spirit, and our prayer is the same-that He would come, fill us, and dwell in us.
We tracked this song in 2017, but it didn't come together the way that we wanted it to. At that time, the song just didn't feel right, so we threw it out and didn't think about it for months. Months later, after a prayer meeting, James felt like he needed to revisit the song. We went back to the studio and had Casey Paulin sing the vocals, and it was just the touch that the song needed.
"Fill Me" is really just a simple, intimate prayer. We hope that people are able to connect with God in a special way while listening to it and singing the words. When you sing words like "Glory of God, come rest on me," it's an invitation.

My heart is dedicated now unto You
Pleasing and ready to be used
Come and fill me, Lord
Glory of God, come rest on me
Fill every part, have everything
Make me Your dwelling place, oh God
And fill me
My heart is open and surrendered to You
Yielded and ready to be used
Come and fill me, Lord
I want to be used for Your glory, Lord Set apart for You
Glory of God, come rest on me
Fill every part, have everything
I'll be Your dwelling place, oh God
Make me Your dwelling place, oh God
And fill me
